Crayke is a charming, picturesque village two miles north-east of the market town of Easingwold, in North Yorkshire, and is situated on an ancient Celtic track-way leading from Scotland to York. There are extensive panoramic views over the Vale of York to the south, where the towers of York Minster can be plainly seen, westwards to the Pennine Hills and, to the east, the Yorkshire Wolds. Crayke stands 379 ft (115.5 metres) above sea level and, on a clear day, the view from the top of the hill extends over forty miles. Our a la carte menu celebrates a fabulous array of locally sourced meats, vegetables, fresh fish and seafood. As the seasons change so do our menus, to reflect the wealth of local produce for which this area is renowned. With a special dessert menu for a truly fabulous finish to any meal. We cater for all dietary requirements and have a bespoke Vegetarian & Gluten Free Menu. Except on a Sunday lunchtime when we serve our Sunday Lunch Menu, embracing all dietary requirements. The Durham Ox bar is an ideal place for friends, colleagues and families to meet and kick back in a relaxing and hospitable atmosphere, serving fine wines, champagne and the very best local ales. Warm and friendly whilst remaining sophisticated and special, we are sure you will enjoy the bar experience as well as the wide choice of drinks on offer. Equally whether you are mid cycle or walk, please feel free to pop in for a pint of something refreshing.
