To this end, the menu combines elements of fresh, market-selected vegetables, seafood and seasonal produce from local producers and responsible ones further afield. In addition to relaxed indoor and outdoor seating areas, BOCA also hosts a rustic wine cellar boasting an exciting, ever-changing collection hailing from Old World producers with a heavy focus on Spain, but also from closer areas such as Syria, Palestine, and Lebanon. THE ART BOCA’s walls and part of the ceiling are dedicated to the art. This season, BOCA & Fann-À-Porter present the work of Sara Tantawy (b. 1994, Cairo) from her series, Survivors. The works capture the gestures and movement of traditional dancers to explore an ancient practice that for centuries has allowed communities to narrate and process the challenges of life events. Using allegory and metaphor to describe these profound experiences, Tantawy’s hyper realistic compositions offer introspection for the viewer.
