Shahran is one of the largest tribes in theAsirregion of Saudi Arabia. Shahran is a large tribe and its name literally mean wide (or volume) in Arabic. The tribe has an estimated two hundred and fifty thousand members and is one of the largest in Arabia. Shahranies are direct offspring of Qahtan, the origin of Qahtani Arabs. As was the case in those early centuries, some generations had migrated to different parts of the world due to wars, natural disasters or generally for business or spiritual purpose, of those decendents some migrated to India and Hyderabad.
