California Bar welcomes everyone who enjoys excellent food and drink. We offer tapas, wine, cocktails, and good music. It is one of those places where the food is of the highest quality, the wine is not unimportant, and the service is highly professional. Wines in the California Bar are offered both by the glass and by the bottle. Even expensive wines are available by the glass as the owners feel that good things should be available to everyone who knows how to enjoy them. We also serve a wide variety of strong drinks and cocktails. Our menu includes a number of traditional Spanish dishes and snacks featuring seafood and dry-cured ham. The menu also includes various vegetables, some of which are roasted in the oven at the client’s request—which is totally different from the sun-dried tomatoes that we are used to. In addition to cold and hot tapas, the menu always offers gazpacho (raw tomato soup), authentic Spanish paella, and the Pata Negro (‘Black leg’) seasoned ham made from wild pork. All the desserts are prepared in our kitchen—even the ice-cream with caramelised nuts or lemon ice-cream which is served in lemon skins. Our dessert selection features, among others, the famous Crema Catalana (which is also called Crème Brulée) and the delicious Santiago almond cake. And as it should be, California has a Californian menu. This means that the main bar dishes can be ordered at any time when the bar is open. Starting on Thursday, California is open until 5 a.m. Soups, coffees, and teas are available to take away. A retro-style authentic American interior was specially created for California Bar. Particular attention was paid to sound insulation and ventilation. The Ramada Vilnius Hotel is nearby, which offers additional advantages: the bar is close to the smoking room of the hotel, which can be used by California clients as well. The bar attaches special importance to quality music. The best of all-time concerts are shown on a large screen. Nice summer weather and bar services can be enjoyed on the outdoor terrace from where you can admire the breathtaking view of Vilnius Old Town. Although some people say that California Bar is intended for gourmets, everyone is welcome. There is always something new for gourmets who can learn about new ways of cooking traditional dishes. You could say it is like listening to classical music: the notes are all the same, but the performance of each individual musician is simply unique.
