In 1929, the two sisters Elna and Gudrun Hagelin moved to Bergen from Nedre Stedje Gård in Sogndal. In Bergen they wanted to realize a dream. They would start a store for selling home-made fish food. The sisters Hagelin opened a shop and the fish food was a great success. Among other things, King Olav always received fishcakes from the sisters' store when he was in Bergen. Today, the Sisters of Hagelin are known far beyond the city limits. The sisters' fish food is made on exactly the same recipes as in 1929 and the raw material is always fresh fillet. The two sisters will always be remembered for the delicious homemade fish food and their great recipes. Try our fish cakes, fish soups, fish pudding or fish wraps. We have up to 80% fish in the cakes and make fish food based on the same recipe as in 1929.
