Portofino is Restaurant located in the heart of Split city. Sitting at the base of a historic square Poljana Grgura Ninskog, make him a part of UNESCO’s protected Dioclecion Palace. Ever since it opened three years ago, it has been among the finest restaurants in Split, and we agree. With indoor and outdoor seating, an open kitchen and arguably the best waitstaff in town. If you are looking for somethibg different from tourist eateries, then Portofino is the place to go. Quality of food, presentation, ambience and service are all top. Portofino does not have a huge menu selection, but we think that this is what makes their cuisine special, but still has well prepared and also delicious signature meals for both meat and seafood lovers. This year you should definetley try their home-made and unusual starter Delicatessen Lucanica – tuna sausage, and Musama – tuna prosciutto, all from bluefinn tuna, that is produced in their own galley, a creamy Gazpacho from a traditional spanish recipe, with piccadillo and gazpacho foam, table served Caesar salad prepared a la minute in front of you. Desserts are a work of art! All of this combined with selected Croatian wines is a perfect combination that says Welcome, relax and prepare to be Wined and Dined
