Chai latte refers to the Indian hot drink masala chai, what in Hindi stands for spicy coffee with milk. In the authentic recipe, it’s created by the chai wallah, (ie. Hindi for coffee maker) First, sugar and warm milk in a small terracotta bowl. Then he pours in the black tea which, contains a spice mix of cinnamon, Cardamon, black pepper, and ginger.
