Dagat-Dagatan is a popular marketplace for seafood in Malabon, Philippines. The town folk named the place Dagat-Dagatan (“man-made ocean”) as it was the trading place for sea food even though the place itself is far away from the ocean. Selling and eating fish became the way of life in Dagat Dagatan. It is believed, Dagat-Dagatan has been in existence even before the Spaniards came to the Philippines in the 16th Century.
