Ike and Antoinette, born and raised in North Groningen. We have two beautiful daughters and live near Eemshaven. In 2017 we wanted to start something for ourselves and we took over this restaurant, which is located in a unique area. The name Diekgat refers to the dike passage that is located next to our restaurant. We want to be a restaurant where visitors from all corners of the world and nationalities can enjoy a cup of coffee with apple pie or a tasty lunch at a reasonable price. By giving that little bit extra, we want our guests to feel at home with us… and you can taste that atmosphere!
