Your Past: This restaurant, at the time when the fish market was on the west side of the River Arade, was once a tavern. Many were the fishermen who, at dawn, arrived from the farm and flocked to the taverns to quell hunger and thirst with sardines roasted over charcoal and wine from the bottle. This tavern became a pasture house in 1981, when the young José Barreira, Carlos Vicente and João Agrela settled in this house on their own. The license remains the same dated 1947.
