Cadiz is an attractive first floor restaurant with pictorial windows overlooking busy George Street, full leather seats, a marble-covered bar with high stools and many pictures of fish and hunters on the walls. Small dishes like fried squid, black pepper and white taste make good sharing good, while large dishes feature dishes served simply like whole lemon insole, sea bass and langosteen. These are delicious, juicy, smartly grilled and moistened with garlic butter, but they are a bit let down by the unspeakable slender potatoes: when the dish is that simple, each ingredient must pull its weight. Here it comes to a great night out, as well as a great meal.
