I grew up in the Tuscan countryside on a beautiful wine estate on the hills between Florence and Volterra. Thiss is where my passion for food grew strong and where I learnt from my mother and my grannies how to prepare all the dishes that make my menu authentic. My adventure in South Africa started in the nineties opening Al Dente first in Pretoria then in Morningside in Joburg. Through the years I owned ‘La dolce Vita’ in St Francis Bay, managed the Italian Club in Pretoria and Bedfordview, even founded and ran a Restaurant in Villamagna, near Florence called L’Antico Forno.
