Patisserie Valerie was first opened in Frith Street in London's Soho in 1926 by Belgian born Madam Valerie. She came to London on a mission to introduce fine Continental Patisserie to the English. It was an instant success. During the Second World War the Frith Street premises were bombed by the Luftwaffe and Madam Valerie subsequently set up shop around the corner in Old Compton Street where her legacy continues to this day in our Soho branch. The unique café-atmosphere includes the decor left over from the 1950's epitomised by the now famous Toulouse-Lautrec style cartoons by Terron. In our havens of self-indulgence, you will discover only the best quality cakes and patisserie, continental breakfasts, lunches, the finest teas and coffees and an atmosphere that is unique to each location. We've worked hard to achieve an international reputation and this has been built on the quality of our products which we hand make ourselves using artisan craft bakery skills and only ever using fresh ingredients and traditional baking methods resulting in award-winning croissants and viennoiserie. Our popular and bespoke special occasion cake and celebration cake service offers outstanding quality and value. We have been creating sumptuous chocolate wedding cakes for years. We have a delicious collection of designs including the impressive and statuesque Croque en bouche.
