The origin of our name dates back to December 20, 1952, the day that Don Aurelio together with a group of countrymen from his town opened a pizzeria opposite the Avellaneda station. Don Aurelio arrived by boat from Europe at the beginning of that year and like all those who came he had to decide whether to go to work in the fields, as his family did for generations in Europe, or try his luck in the big city. The last option was chosen, and that was how they tried their luck setting up a pizzeria. The anecdote that gives our place its name occurred that same day when the pizza chef's shovel disappeared as if by magic from one moment to the next, minutes before opening the premises, and Don Aurelio very ingeniously improvised a Palita using a piece of wood that It had been tied to a broomstick by hand, it was the opening day and the new clientele could not be missed, from that moment the famous Palita de Don Aurelio remained in the memory of all. This is the tribute that his grandchildren pay to him, marking 3 generations of pizzerias.
