My name is Mladen Ivanovic. I emigrated from Croatia to the German restaurant industry 30 years ago. In 2011 I decided to be my own boss and opened the steakhouse "Zur alten Schmiede". With this restaurant I have fulfilled a big dream. An old building in a rustic style and easily accessible for my guests. I did not consider the lack of an outdoor area - of course my guests would like to enjoy their steak outdoors in the summer. The lack of capacity and the desire for more strengthened my decision to expand with a second restaurant. So I took the opportunity and opened the doors of our second steakhouse in October 2018.
