Ateshgah, a temple of the name, can be called a true Azerbaijani exotic. This fire temple is recognized in many parts of the world. It is located in Surakhani settlement of Absheron peninsula, 30 km far from Baku. The area is famous for its unique natural phenomenon, the room as the place where natural gas exits (gas reacts with oxygen). The most modern building of the temple dates back to the 17th-18th centuries. The temple was built by the Indian community in the Sikh Secta and settled in Baku. However, the history of the temple dates back to ancient times. In this area there was a place where ancient settlements were settled and their temples were located. They gave the room a mysterious ending, and they came here to worship.
