HR:Zinfandel, grožđe kojeg su proslavili kalifornijski vinogradi, vuku snažne korijene sa grožđem koje raste samo par kilometara od naseg wine & food bara ovdje u Splitu. 2012. godine u knjizi „Wine grapes of master of wine“ Jancis Robinson, Julia Harding i švicarski genetičar Dr. Jose Vouillamo detaljno istražuju podrijetlo Zinfandela. Nakon godina istraživanja i DNA testova grožđa i vina iz vinograda širom svijeta, vino iz 90 godišnjeg vinograda jedne gospođe iz Splita, Hrvatska, dokazalo je da je Zinfandel hrvatsko grožđe. Od samog otvaranja u svibnju 2013. godine stekli smo reputaciju jednog od najboljih splitskih wine barova kao i prekretnice u splitskoj lokalnoj gastronomskoj sceni. Zinfandel je prijateljsko i interaktivno okruženje u kojem možete probati neke od najboljih hrvatskih vina kao i naš meni sastavljen tako da bi zaokružio kompletan doživljaj. Od samog početka svjesni smo da smo dio gradskog folkora i uvijek smo isticali da smo dio „izvornog dalmatinskog“. Sam restoran sa upečatljivim barom u sredini i neformalnim rasporedom sjedenja, idealno je mjesto za uživanje u našem sezonskom meniju u bilo koje doba dana ili večeri. In the 2012 book “Wine Grapes Masters of Wine” – Jancis Robinson, Julia Harding and Swiss grape geneticist Dr. José Vouillamoz thoroughly investigated Zinfandel’s origins. After years of research and DNA testing of wines from vineyards across the globe, a single 90-year-old grapevine from the garden of an elderly lady in Split, Croatia, provided the evidence to show that Zinfandel was a Croatian grape. Since opening in May 2013, we have acquired a reputation as one of Split’s best wine bars, and as a turning point in Split’s local dining scene. Zinfandel is a friendly and interactive environment to sample some top Croatian wines along with a passionate menu to complete the entire experience. We have understood from the day we opened that we are part of the fabric of the city, and we have always embraced being quintessentially Dalmatian. The restaurant, with a striking central bar and informal seating, is the perfect spot to enjoy our seasonal menu any time of the day or evening. Zinfandel is comfortable and relaxed, with seats for 60 people.
