Bakklandet, with its crooked old wooden houses from the 19th century and cobblestones as far as the eye can see, is the very heart of Trondheim. At least we think so. In the 1960s, the municipality wanted to make a motorway throughout this charming district. We promise you that we are glad it did not happen, so that we can invite you to our special little restaurant. Kalas & Canasta, or Kalas as the place is commonly called, consists of nooks and crannies, stairs, rooms, bar, kitchen, glass garden and a separate small house. The place has its very special charm, and in these surroundings we have created something that we think is quite unique. Both in terms of taste, drink and the people who work here.
