Bonafide's history begins in 1917, the year that Geraldo Trinx, the son of coffee importers and extensive experience in acquired coffee in Brazil, opened a booth in Pasaje Güemes, in the heart of Buenos Aires. The space was used to sell coffee and the country's first toaster was installed there. Shortly after its opening, the place got people's approval. That new coffee, complete, without a sugar bath and available for all pockets, made its way, and this is the success of the project that in order to welcome the large number of customers gathering there, Trinks opened another store in the same showroom that added candy sale.Giraldo felt the need to name his brand, a name that reflected tradition and trust. This is how Bonafide (Goodwill) appeared, who has since become a symbol and flag of the company. The subsequent growth of the brand was based on the direct sales model for consumers, through its exclusive retail network, door-to-door bicycle sales. Then, its significant growth was due to another innovation in the market: the massive sale of franchises.
