EN: Our title entity was born from our journeys within the Raval neighbourhood of Barcelona. An eclectic spread of people from many different walks of life converge in Raval, producing unique interactions and enriching experiences that will live within us forever. What's the vibe? We've put our hearts and souls into designing a lively and intimate space which promotes a convivial-style of enjoying food and drink accompanied by timeless music. It's a cozy room here, encouraging the potential to meet new friends, sharing moments and the physical space with sound minds and open arms. Are there tables and seats? We have several stools scattered throughout the room, tucked against the bar and flowing mahogany ledge which hugs our walls. Between the bar and window clad exterior there are a few Beer barrels encouraged to be shared between 2 pairs of guests per. We've enjoyed larger groups sharing each barrel, which promotes a greater level of comfort getting friendly with surrounding guests leaning against the bar and exterior space. What's the deal with the small plates (pintxos/tapas) on the bar? As the sun rises, chef distributes many of our delicious snacks across the bar top, offering a visual and olfactory sensation for guests to enjoy. Any questions about the ingredients/process and taste profile of each dish are encouraged to be discussed with our bartenders and severs. Should you wish to indulge some of these plates, please inform a Ravalian and we'll gladly place them by your side. When do you open? Do you sell coffee, Tea and treats? We open at 8am daily. Our flavourful and iconic coffee comes to you from several different farmers around the planet, ranging from Ethiopia, Ecuador, Kenya, Costa Rica and others...brought to you by Phil and Sebastian Coffee Roasters. We use a local, grass-fed dairy for our milk from our friends at Sheldon Creek. Our tea is gathered from China and other regions, imported by O5Tea of Vancouver. We bake everything in house, from our baguettes through our rotating cookie and doughnut options. I imbibe cocktails from time to time during the afternoon, but have an aversion to being heavily influenced by alcohol... do you have options for me at Bar Raval? Yes. All the way yes. We have produced a thoughtful spirit list which consists of many different Sherry and Vermouth options to pair exquisitely with our food. Our "low-octane" cocktail options are perfect to sip on comfortably, ensuring the levity you feel upon leaving will be related to the energy you share with us, and not from the consumption of alcohol.
