Lagidze Water is an authentic local lemonade you need to try in Georgia. Started by Mitrofane Lagidze, a Georgian pharmacist in the 19th century, the lemonade was very popular during the Soviet Georgia. Unfortunately, its glory faded over the dramatic recent past of Georgia, but there are a couple of places that still serve it just like in the past. The idea of these lemonades is that the syrup is mixed with soda, right in front of your eyes. And Kutaisi has one of those venues where you can try famous Georgian lemonade and local cuisine at the same time.
