The international opened its doors in December 2003, after five comrades decided that they would start the bar. The five had backgrounds from Mono, the Island, Cafe con Bar and many other places. It seemed natural to create a nightclub in industrial Eastern European style, as the venue was in the Folketeater building - a building with long and proud traditions of working culture.
