The House of Sweden opened its doors in 1956. Neuralgic center and meeting point for the Swedish community and great intellectuals, it became one of the most emblematic buildings in the capital. Cortazar, Sabato or Hemingway frequented its spaces, as did the Swedish royal family on their visits to the city. In 2016, it reopened its doors together with NH Collection Madrid Sweden, making Casa Sweden a place to be that preserves the essence of its history in a project signed by Lazaro Rosa-Violan.
