Tia Rosa – Tapas/winebar the center of Amsterdam’ ‘Tia Rosa is run by Ida de Boer, who wanted to create a little piece of Spain in Amsterdam. Typically Spanish, but with a fair share of some characteristic Dutch open-mindedness. Ida de Boer: “our goal is to let both locals and tourists enjoy a Spanish experience by serving them the finest wines and tapas. So while going out in Amsterdam, people can imagine they are in Spain.” This idea can clearly be found in the way Tia Rosa is decorated: wine barrels, a bar at which guests can wine and dine, wooden tables, an open kitchen, and a beautiful cabinet filled with bottles of wine. But also with Heineken and Cruz Campo beer on draft. “Tia Rosa may be a Spanish tapas bar, but it is still run by real Dutchmen.”
