We happened upon Papa's Palapa during the "Ley Seca" (apparently Hondurans have to stay sober to elect their corrupt politicians just like we do in the U.S.). Finding this gem was accidental, but definitely on our must visit list the next time we are on the island. The entire property is beautiful, but the main restaurant and bar is the highlight. Its breezes are fantastic, and with hammocks, a pool table, comfy chairs and couches, it was paradise. The food was outstanding and the non alcoholic beverages were refreshing. We plan on spending at least one, if not a couple of days here on our next visit to escape the "cruise crowds" on west bay beach.
