Opening in May 2008 with a small deli, stocked from floor to ceiling with quality produce from York, Yorkshire and Europe, the mission was to create an exciting, quirky shopping environment using exciting, quality and award winning foods. This was followed in November 2009 with a bigger shop and small cafe next door, due mainly to the demand to stock a wider range of products and requests to open a cafe. These products include a wide range of quaility and aged balsamics, olive and other speciality oils, over 40 quality loose teas, fresh coffee beans and an impressive range of amazing chocolates. The small, cosy cafe at the rear of No 39, cooks fresh food daily.
