Guatelaria presents delicious Guatemalan tipico food in a relaxed atmosphere. That relaxing atmosphere is especially refreshing, since it's located right on Calle del Arco (5a ave norte) near La Merced church and the Nim Po't artisan collective. The entrance is on the street, but the restaurant itself is tucked back inside, away, giving it a cozy feeling. The food was tasty and our waitress was happy to give details about the preparation and origin of the dishes. The restaurant didn't seem pretentious or touristy - it just seemed like a lovely spot to enjoy Guatemalan cuisine. I'll definitely be back!
