We wish you a warm welcome in our Indonesian Specialties Restaurant “Sari Djawa“, situated in a rustic location on the banks of the Oude Rijn. You are in the former grain warehouse “De Eendracht”. The mill, built in Zaandam in 1752, was transferred in 1898 to Alphen a/d Rijn in the hamlet of Gouwsluis. During the restoration in 1974, the warehouse was converted into a restaurant. Since then, the grain has been authentically ground every Saturday in the mill and is then freely accessible to the public. At the end of 1990, the current management acquired the restaurant and Indonesian cuisine is served with great success. You can enjoy the specialties from the Emerald Belt in an attractive setting, let the service advise you if necessary and make your wishes known.
