PL: Historia miejsca, w którym znajduje się klub, jest na stałe wpisana w dzieje Warszawy. Zaledwie 30 metrów dzieli wnętrze SNU od nurtu Wisły. Czterokondygnacyjny kompleks zaprojektowany przez wybitnego architekta, Stefana Kuryłowicza, został ulokowany tam, gdzie Wisłostrada krzyżuje się z ulicą Ludną. Nowoczesny budynek siedziby Warszawskiego Towarzystwa Wioślarskiego nieprzypadkowo usytuowano właśnie tu. Jego początki sięgają roku 1920, gdy WTW, w zamian za pomoc w transporcie rannych w czasie wojny polsko-bolszewickiej, otrzymało tereny pod swoją siedzibę. Dziewięć lat później powstała tu najlepsza przystań w Europie. Nieopodal koryta Wisły ulokowano basen wioślarski wraz z hangarami na łodzie. Na parterze znajdowała się przestrzeń na szatnie z natryskami oraz rozłożysty taras z widokiem na Wisłę. Wyższą kondygnację zajmowała przestronna część restauracyjna z wygodnym tarasem, a także pokoje gościnne. Siedziba Warszawskiego Towarzystwa Wioślarskiego stanowiła ważny punkt na towarzyskiej mapie miasta. To tutaj ponad 140 lat temu powołano do życia najbardziej prestiżowe miejsce w kraju. The four-storey complex designed by an outstanding architect, Stefan Kuryłowicz, was located where Wisłostrada intersects with Ludna Street. It is no coincidence that the modern building of the headquarters of the Warsaw Rowing Society was situated here. Its origins date back to 1920, when the WTW, in return for help in transporting the wounded during the Polish-Bolshevik war, received land for its seat. Nine years later, the best marina in Europe was established here. A rowing pool with hangars for boats is located near the Vistula riverbed. On the ground floor there was a space for changing rooms with showers and a large terrace overlooking the Vistula River. The upper storey was occupied by a spacious restaurant part with a comfortable terrace, as well as guest rooms.
