The history of "Shumli" began in 2003, when the first coffee houses were just opened in St. Petersburg. Our company, Anta LLC, in partnership with the Russian representative office of the German company Melitta, a manufacturer of professional coffee machines and coffee beans, opened the first coffee house. Here you could taste coffee brewed on automatic coffee machines Cafina from original cereal blends. These first-class machines still work today. We brewed more than 1,000,000 cups of coffee on them. From the very beginning, German specialties and desserts, popular in Western Europe, were offered to German coffee according to authentic recipes and traditional technologies. The most famous of these are the Belgian waffles, cherry strudel and Viennese schnitzel. We called the coffee house the German-Austrian word "Schumli". This is the name of a special coffee drink, which is used in the preparation of a very high pressure. Cook it - art. It turns out slightly whipped creamy texture. Only if it is properly brewed, on the surface of hot, moderately strong coffee is visible the caramel-colored froth, which is also called “Schumli”.
