The company was founded by a pioneering lady named Marion Butler, who was named after her as a result of her innovations in the manufacture of luxury handmade chocolate. Butlers Chocolate is Ireland's favorite luxury chocolate, and in 2012 it was celebrated to mark the 80th anniversary of Happiness in Chocolate.
