AFG National Agroholding was established in February 2013 as a result of the merger of the Russian leader in rice cultivation and processing - the agro-industrial holding AF-Group and the largest distributor of packaged cereals in Russia - the Angstrem Group of Companies. At the time of the merger, each of the companies went through a long stage of formation and development. Founded in 2006, AF-Group has grown from two small enterprises in 6 years into the largest rice producer in the country. According to the Southern Rice Union, by 2012, AF-Group had the largest land resources in the Kuban and Rostov Region involved in rice cultivation.
