Chicken Tonight was founded in 1992 in the United States. Soon after, Chicken Tonight was successfully launched on the Dutch market by Unilever under various brands, including Unox and Knorr. In 2015 it became a stand-alone brand. Chicken Tonight aired a commercial in the 1990s that became very famous for its "I feel like Chicken Tonight" jingle and accompanying bird dance. Zwanenberg has been producing Chicken Tonight products since 2017 and is now also the current brand owner.
