The Mussel & Steak Bar nessled in Edinburgh’s old town Grassmarket is a fitting location for a restaurant serving locally sourced market produce. Our menu is based around seafood and steak favourites with clever twists. We serve tempting dishes for lunch and dinner, including kilo pots of irresistible mussels, and matured Scotch beef steaks. Although adapted every month with new dishes, the core of our menu remains from the surf or turf which offers something for everyone. Our restaurant has no airs or graces, the atmosphere is casual, informal and very welcoming with our focus on serving amazing fresh food. We can catering for large celebrations and groups. In the summer months our popular pavement seating area allows you to soak up the sunshine whilst sipping your chilled wine or beer.
