A very Italian story ... Vittorio Di Maria, who has been living in Belgium for 30 years, started as a traveling glacier as a secondary activity. He drove in a van in the evening and was a truck driver during the day. "What I really liked was the direct contact with the public, especially with the kids and their moms for whom the ice cream van was a real treat ..." However, he had to make a choice: continue to work in parallel with his two professions or devote himself fully to his new passion. It was therefore this which prevailed and Vittorio was equipped to own his own workshop of making homemade ice cream. After having worked as a street vendor for about twenty years, selling his own ice cream and selling it to different independent young and old, he realized his dream: the opening of a tasting room. he inaugurated on May 1, 1992. It is located in the town of ANS, in the heart of his usual tour he has never abandoned since today still his first son-in-law, a brave and courageous boy travels with his van the places he has served for so many years. Vittorio is the father of four girls and the idea of ​​entrusting a van to one of them and thus put her on the road did not please him. But, as he was able to pass on his love for the trade and his wife, devoted entirely to his family and his work, three of his daughters who directly manage the tasting room and who of course work there. You will always find 24 different flavors (ice cream, sorbets or affogati), pancakes, waffles, creative cuts, iced cakes for all occasions ... Today, he thinks he is a landmark for many enterprising young people who are starting out on this great adventure and who sometimes ask for advice. It simply teaches them the simplicity of the tradition without losing sight of the taste for the search for novelties, the improvement and the perfection ... He likes to be an innovator and a creative, that's why every year he goes to the SIGEP in Rimini (international exhibition for ice cream producers, pastry chefs, bakers, chocolatiers) to participate in the contest on the ice cream and be aware of the latest news. This exhibition allows him to confront his ice cream with that of international confreres and to evaluate his "level". This confrontation with Italian colleagues and others serves him as a stimulus for the development of his know-how, this pushes him to seek to improve ever more. He is always very interested in meetings dealing with themes related to his "glacier" world. Vittorio adds: "We must face the facts, the main enemy of the artisan glacier is the industrial ice cream and not the other fellow craftsmen". In Belgium, the defense of the interests of artisanal work exists and taking into account what membership of such a category means is fundamental for the reciprocal growth of all. After all these years of hard work to get the best, he has realized his dream. His name is "TUTTI FRUTTI" and recently he has a little brother: "TUTTI FRUTTI Junior". In this new space, in addition to the usual menu, Vittorio offers sandwiches and snacks.
