Combining the spirited and edgy influences of New York and London, both the menu and design of Chop Shop make for a lively neighborhood restaurant. The menu itself includes some Altamarea favorites, including Osteria Morini’s Meatballs and the classic Patty Melt, in addition to new collaborative dishes like the Cottage Pasta Pie. Guests are invited to begin their meal with ‘snacks & bites’ of spicy wings and a cotechino Scotch Egg, ‘jars’ of meat and fish pâtés and ‘planks’ offering a selection of cheese or charcuterie to share. Chop Shop highlights its ‘steaks and chops,’ serving a variety of prime meats on the bone including pork and lamb chops. Salads and other exciting main courses round out the seasonal menu. The house cocktails are also inspired by both New York and London, and include ‘The Haymarket,” a version of the Manhattan and a Celery Gimlet, a blend of celery infused Plymouth Gin and lime juice. Restored to its original foundation, the restaurant spans two floors, providing an intimate atmosphere featuring distressed dark wood paneling, exposed whitewashed brick walls, and a backdrop of large reclaimed tiles.
