Coffee roasting Sao Paulo has been a household name in Ghent since 1913. It all started with the world exhibition in 1913 in Ghent. The coffee stand from the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo was taken over and became the basis of the company that is today located in the Koestraat. The business was originally run on Veldstraat. The raw coffee beans were transported by horse and cart via the Graslei, where the ships docked. Over the years we have been able to build our passion for coffee and tea into a great success story. We present ourselves as a Specialty roaster and tea specialty store. All our products are carefully selected and cupped. Our range includes 20 freshly roasted coffees and 200 loose teas that you can discover further on our site. A new episode was inaugurated in 1956 in the Koestraat, the street par excellence for specialized food stores. To date, the Sao Paulo Coffee Roasting Company is a family business. Peter and Claire took over the business in 1993 as the fourth generation in the family. From then on, due to the changed situation in the city center, the coffee roasting plant was set up just outside the city ring. Good quality coffee goes hand in hand with fair and sustainable trade. We think it is important that coffee farmers are treated properly.We contribute to sustainable coffee production in 17 different countries. D.m.v. Training, training programs, we help the people and their families behind every bean. As well as a good relationship with the coffee farmers, investments are also made and thought about sustainable production. Here, value is attached to the environment, while quality is also guaranteed.
