De Kaasboer and Fermette are joining forces From November 18, 2019, De Kaasboer will leave the distribution of its full range to Fermette. As a true Ostend family business and full-service wholesaler of processed meats, cheese and fresh products, Fermette has been the link between producer and fresh trader for three generations. With the acquisition of De Kaasboer, Fermette profiles itself even more as the cheese specialist par excellence. In addition to a wide and balanced quality cheese assortment, Fermette also has an optimized infrastructure and a modern fleet that offer the necessary guarantees for perfect customer service. The Brands brothers, managers of the family business De Kaasboer, will focus on a new project: cheese farm "Little Cheese Farm" in Lotenhulle (Aalter). In addition to the production of quality Belgian farm cheeses, "Little Cheese Farm" will also be responsible for the commercialization of exclusive Belgian cheese brands (Gentse Keizer, Gentenaer, Rosse Jeanette, Wittekop, BoereJan and Maigre du Nord). The first productions are expected in March 2020. Fermette will also be responsible for the fine-grained distribution of the cheeses of "Little Cheese Farm". With the takeover of the distribution of De Kaasboer by Fermette and the establishment of the cheese factory "Little Cheese Farm", we believe we are developing an ideal platform to delight the Belgian cheese market with quality and innovative products, always with our motto in mind: Share our passion in cheese!
