Amazing place. The old machinery works. The tea plantations are lush green & refreshing.A very good indication of the level of service and quality of the visit.The factory is fascinating. Built in stunning moutain scenery in Ramboda, near Nuwara Eliya, it still uses the original 100 year old machinery from the UK. The tea leaves are first dried over huge driers which are wood-fired. The visit ends with a cup of tea in a modern café where you can buy what looked like home-made cakes.
